The APPFA Professional Development Conference is designed to further enhance the participant’s auditing skills and also provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and concepts. At the completion of the conference, the participant will have attained an overview of the topic areas.

Although there is no prerequisite for this conference, the level of knowledge required is intermediate to advanced. Auditing and accounting professionals may qualify for 18 hours of Ccontinuing Professional Education by attending this conference, which is designed to comply with the AICPA’s Statement of CPE Standards. Participants attending this conference will receive an attendance certificate following the completion of this program.

From I-26 East From Columbia

Take exit 221 B (Meeting Street/Historic District Exit) and exit onto Meeting Street. Staying in the left lane, follow Meeting Street approximately one and a half miles. Turn left onto Hayne Street. Turn right at the stop sign and you will be in front of the hotel.

From Highway 17 North

Coming South on Highway 17, you will cross the Cooper River (BIG bridge). Immediately at the end of the bridge, go right at the East Bay Street Exit. Make a right at the flashing yellow light. Make a right at the stop light on to East Bay street. From East

Bay Street, after you pass the Harris Teeter grocery store on the left, make a right onto Pickney Street. Go left on Church Street. The hotel is the large salmon building on the right.

From Highway 17 South

From the South, cross the Ashley River into Charleston. Stay in the right hand lane, taking Lockwood Boulevard. Go left at the Calhoun Street Exit. Go approximately two miles. Make a right onto Meeting Street . Turn left on to Hayne Street. Turn right at the stop sigh and you will be in front of the hotel.

From I-95

Take Exit 86-A to I-26 East. Follow I-26 to it terminus. Take Exit 221B (Meeting Street Historic District Exit) and exit onto Meeting Street. Staying in the left hand lane, follow Meeting Street approximately one and a half miles. Turn left on to Hayne Street. Turn right at the stop sign and you will be in front of the hotel.

From the Airport

Leaving the airport follow signs to I-26 east. Follow I-26 to the end and take Exit 221B (Meeting Street Historic District Exit). Follow Meeting Street to the right after leaving I-26 and follow for approximately one and one half miles. Turn left on Hayne Street directly after the Bank of America Building. Go one block, turn right on Church Street, Doubletree will be immediately on the right.
